description: Another amazing rod from Master rod builder Mario Wojnicki. One of the best rods made today in all respects. Every rod I get in from Mario continues to amaze me in it overall balance and symmetry in building these fine works of art. This Five-sided rod is a semi-parabolic and hollow built, Extremely light in the hand for a Penta in a 7wt rod at 3.6OZ. Made in the manner reminiscent of the bridge construction with the percentage of the wood removed from the apex of every strip. The blank then looses about a third of its weight. This makes for a very light rod smooth medium fast dry fly rod. Just a beautiful rod with medium flamed cane, green translucent silk wraps tipped in red. Guides are made of bright chrome and has super Z style black ferrules. Wood spacer is made of cypress with black sliding band with wood & cork butt cap with Mario's own style wells grip. Also has exposed glue line as he does from time to time to add a look of age and the slide band is done to hand a patina look very nice! Most of Mario's rod can be a wait from 3 to 6 years in some cases. These are the rods I like to fish and now own 6 myself. When you get a rod from Mario the first time you cast it you'll understand why they are hardly ever seen on the secondary market! This rod will do it all and is my all time favorite rod for Montana and Alaska!!!
