description: After a long delay excited to announce the New Dickerson Line of rods from Rod Builder John Pickard are starting to roll in. These first 20 rods will be available exclusively through West Slope Classic Fly Tackle. Some month ago John purchased the complete Dickerson shop and it's equipment from a Dear Man Mr. Jim Schaff and we wish Jim all the best! Mr. Schaff takes comfort knowing that the Spirit of Dickesron in this equipment is going to the best possible home, back home were it all started! That's right every bit of Dickerson equipment is coming back home to Michigan! Without a doubt this is an historic event and will be cataloged in books and magazines for years to come! These first rods will be made with all remaining Dickerson stock. The shop purchase included everything from rod building components, supplies including the lathe, ferrules, wood, tip-tops, reel seats, notes, charts, Culms of (Pre-Embargo Bamboo), wood for spacers, etc...in fact you'll be getting a Dickerson. John has cast and handled many originals over the years and know these rods inside and out,this is no secret! John will also go back to the original Model numbering system on each rod.
