description: Again what can I say that hasn't already been said about these rods. Many have covert these rods over the years and you'll see at least one in today's best valued collections. The book about Everett Garrison has started many a rod builders careers which is an understatement! If you don't own a copy then you should locate a copy today! The Master's Guide to Building a Bamboo Fly Rod by Hoagy B. Carmichel Jr. is a must! Now back to the rod at hand. The rod is an early one having been built in the 40's, beautiful straw color cane, standard Garrison grip, transparent tan wrap with a darker tan at the original super "Z" ferrules turning into black which is also found at the winding check. Green & Red wrap highlight the tip tops with the rod being in "E" condition with no issues other than soiling, a bit of ridging to the cork, a few glue lines (NORMAL) and honest ware to the overall rod. Other than that everything is in order! Nice med action rod for most situation. Very nice piece of our fly fishing history!!!
