description: SUNNING 1982 WALT CARPENTER MED/FAST ACTION 7'6" 5WT 3/2 BROWNTONE. Highly Figured Walnut beautiful Varnished. One of the best builder of our time as you can see from the work he has done over the year! Exceptionally high level of rod building skill is demonstrated in every Carpenter rod. Flamed reddish brown cane and beautifully oxidized Ferrules makes for an exceptional look. Wonderful dry fly action this rod is a pure joy to cast. Very smooth casting action with a DT5 line. A pure delight with smaller trout dry flies. This rod is in VG original condition with most of the ware to the cap and ring but very normal from a used rod of this age very honest ware and has been fish with extra care some soiling on the grip also.. Walt came from the Catskill school of rod building an original Masters with Payne and Leonard in his background. Stunning rod from the early days. A rod that will not last long!
