description: Glenn and the Boy are back and now on track after leaving the R.L. Winston Rod Co. nearly 2 years ago. The tradition lives on!!! This Quad is a 7'9" 4/5wt 3/2 with Serial number 1181. Medium brown toned cane, brown wraps with maroon tipping at the hook keeper. Cigar grip with "Pride of Sweetgrass" screw down locking nickel silver reel seat. Custom made maple wood spacer and red agate stripper guide all makes for a wonderful rod! This rod was just received in stock Plastic of the grip brand new! Just wonderful Western dry fly rod for most situations. I have found the rod to be a bit faster than the standard Winston rod in the same configuration with reserve power that found in many Quads. Glenn and the Boys did a wonderful job on this rod but you can only expect the best coming from those who love the art of building cane rods. This rod will not last long. So if you think about it, it will be gone!
