description: Ron Kusse made (Leonard style) Catskill 39-5. It's serial number 8375. Medium straw colored cane with translucent wraps and very fine tips. Standard size tapered cigar grip ala Maxwell. Nickel silver sliding band and butt cap over butternut wood spacer. Bright nickel silver ferrules. Snake stripper with black guides. Just a fabulous rare rod. After looking at the rod it has a few hallmark of being made by Ron Kusse. The handing tag along with the sock was something that got me thinking this rod was made at a much later date.
