description: H.S "Pinky" Gillum 8ft 4/5wt 2 mids 3 tip Trout. Custom made by H.S. Pinky Gillum Circa late 30's serial number 504. This was a custom made Rod for a good friend of Mr. Gillum's in the 3/3 configuration with 2 mids one is marked with a serial number and the other is not. Same with one extra tip. From testing the rod the first mid with the serial number is the 4wt mid and the 2 mid is for the 5wt configuration. Nickel silver sliding band and butt cap over mahogany spacer reel seat beautiful brown wraps. This is a collectors rods and only need a little work to get Her back to the stream or show room. These are some of the rarest and most valuable rod you will never find. This rod is in original good condition with original bag and tube. Sorry no label with this one. An extremely rare rod from a classic rod maker. Gillum rods continue to bring the highest prices of any rods bought to market. CONS: The finish has a few marks but no hook digs and has had a few touch ups, female ferrule needs a re wrap, cork is all coated with patina and had part of the cork missing about 1/2 inch hole, rod tube has no label, some serial number where left off when one tips and mid when made Very Common and on one tip the serial number is faded. PROS: Rod is still all Gillum and very straight see photo's. I feel you could spend maybe $300 to $500 to get Her fishing again. Wonderful Rod!!!
