description: Wonderful Charlie Jenkins Model GA 70 serial number 37. (Build by Charlie) Beautiful medium flamed cane 7ft 4/5wt 2/2 with brown wraps tipped in gold ala Payne style with nickel silver slide band and logo cap saying The Jenkins Rod. Nice cherry wood spacer oxidized dark nickel silver Swiss type frrules. Carbaloy stripper guide and tugsten wire snake guides. The rod is in near mint condition with one tip top in a oval shape "See Photo" not sure how this happend because the rod look tobe never fished. This will not affect the casting of the rod at all and would be a very easy fix. Label and rod tube shows very little ware from storage over the years. Very nice smooth yet powerful dry fly rod. UPDATE: I spoke with the original owner that ordered the rod from Charlie and the tip came this way. So it was made the way you see it!
