description: This stunning Special Edition 7'6" 4/5wt Jenkins rod was custom built by Charlie and Steve Jenkins. Originally purchase at Oxbow Outfitting Co. in Aspen Colorado and delivered to the White House Nov. 1992 as a gift for George Herbert Walker Bush Sr. 41st President of the United States. After receiving the rod and (there was a reel also) he then had to return each item because it exceeded his gift limitations. I confirmed this with Steve Jenkins. Beautiful light color cane with Spanish Cedar wood insert with nickel silver sliding band and butt cap stamped The Jenkins Rod Co., bright chrome guides and tips with light gold transparent wraps tipped in brown, signature wrap at the swell butt with hook keeper. Just a wonderful rod with one of a kind providence. Very smooth dry fly action that Charlie and Steve continue to build but this rod goes above and beyond the great rods they have produced.
